The Summer Intern program provides students with a meaningful, hands-on learning experience in a dynamic manufacturing and corporate environment. Interns will work alongside experienced professionals, contribute to real business initiatives, and gain exposure to the electrical utility industry.

Internship opportunities may be available in a variety of functions, including:

  • Engineering
  • Finance and Accounting
  • Sales and Marketing

  • Other Corporate Functions

Assignments will vary based on business needs and intern qualifications.

 

Responsibilities

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Support day-to-day activities and strategic projects within the assigned department.
  • Assist with data collection, analysis, reporting, and presentation development.
  • Participate in cross-functional meetings and team initiatives.
  • Conduct research and provide recommendations to improve processes, efficiency, or business outcomes.
  • Collaborate with team members to complete assigned projects and deliverables.
  • Present project updates and final recommendations to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Follow company safety, quality, and compliance requirements.
  • Demonstrate ERMCO's POWER Values in daily interactions and work activities.
  • Complete additional duties and special projects as assigned.

 

Qualifications

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited undergraduate or graduate degree program.
  • Pursuing a degree related to the area of assignment, such as Engineering, Business, Finance, Accounting, Human Resources, Supply Chain, Information Technology, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise professionalism in a business setting.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous internship, co-op, leadership, campus organization, or project experience.
  • Demonstrated initiative, curiosity, and willingness to learn.
  • Interest in manufacturing, operations, engineering, or corporate business functions.
  • Experience with data analysis, project management, or continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.
