Role: Welder
Department: Welding
Reporting To: Operations Manager
To perform across departments team functions necessary to accomplish manufacturing Department transformer production requirements to ensure customer on time delivery.
Position responsibilities as follows:
· Review drawings, DA tags, ICN’s, or verbal information and check tank/component for conformance. Layout as appropriate. Locate, fit, tack, weld, braze, clean, grind, remove and/or relocate hardware, etc. as necessary to produce per design and engineering specifications.
· Perform necessary quality checks to verify location of internal/external parts, and cleanliness and quality of all welds.
· Use appropriate fixtures, hand tools, clamps, welding equipment, etc. to perform custom or special work involving processes such as, but not necessarily limited to, the following: layout and marking for weld or torch cutout, welding bushing hole plugs, hole punch, shaping tanks, sanding, grinding, brazing, repairing split seams, hardware, touch up painting, repair pin hole leaks, etc.
· Utilize appropriate welding processes and equipment such as MIG, TIG, stick, etc.
· Observe and report obvious damage or defects in equipment, materials, or product as appropriate. Remove welding and scale. Maintain a clean, orderly work area. Perform work of equal or lower labor grade as directed.
· Meet team production target daily.
· All other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Education or Equivalent (any of these may apply):
· High school diploma or GED.
Knowledge/Skills Requirements:
· Welding experience is preferred.

Tools:
· Welding equipment, hand tools, mounting and welding fixtures.
Physical Requirements:
· Bending, twisting, stooping, and pulling.
· Be able to stand for long periods at a time.
· Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis
· Position contingent on passing all applicable fit for duty requirements
