Job Summary


We are seeking a Strategic Sourcing Specialist to join our team in the distribution transformer industry. This individual contributor role within our centralized supply chain team will play a pivotal part in shaping ERMCO’s sourcing strategy. The position is responsible for executing sourcing and procurement activities across ERMCO’s 11-site enterprise, identifying opportunities to leverage supply chain spend to secure supply, reduce risk, optimize costs, enhance value delivery, and ensure the quality and reliability of sourced materials and components.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Effectively conduct RFI’s, RFQ, RFPs to secure direct materials and or services and present results to stakeholders.
  • Execute comprehensive procurement strategies that align with organizational goals to enhance overall business performance.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, supplier quality engineers, and engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure reliability and quality are considered when contracting and supplier performance meets technical and quality requirements
  • Conduct market analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities in the sourcing of materials and components.
  • Analyze data to make informed decisions with knowledge of cost structures and financial impact/value.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure the best terms regarding price, quality, and delivery.
  • Drive value delivery initiatives across the supply chain while maintaining or improving product quality and supplier performance.
  • Implement supplier risk management strategies to minimize supply chain disruptions.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the sourcing department, encouraging innovation and efficiency.
  • Comply with company policies, procedures and governance items.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in strategic sourcing or procurement within the manufacturing or technical industry.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful sourcing events
  • Strong background in supplier management, contract negotiation, and supply chain risk management.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive collaboration across departments.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret and use data to drive decision-making, and effective communication skills to negotiate, influence, and facilitate collaboration across teams/sites
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively convey complex information to diverse audiences.
  • Results-driven, with a focus on value delivery and efficiency improvements.
  • Proactive and adaptable, able to navigate a dynamic industry landscape.
  • Strong ethical standards and a commitment to quality.
  • Detail-oriented, with a commitment to driving continuous improvement.
  • Experience with ERP systems a must.  Experience with Infor LN preferred
