Job Summary:

The Supply Chain and Procurement Specialist is responsible for all the GridBridge power electronics hardware platforms. The individual would work as part of our closely coupled Product Development team, leading sourcing, supply chain management, and procurement of all materials for the physical and electrical designs. The GridBridge team operates in an open, non-hierarchical manner to achieve efficient use of all team members’ contributions, staying flexible at all stages of the development process. The individual must be highly motivated and committed to the highest level of product quality & delivery. The individual must be viewed by peers as an optimist, and balance persistence and enthusiasm with professionalism. The ideal candidate will have skills and a passion for process, innovation and development.

 

This role will be onsite in Raleigh, NC. Relocation Assistance is available.

Responsibilities

  • Hands-on leader and individual contributor for all supply chain, stockroom and procurement activities
  • Provide sourcing options to development engineers for electrical and physical materials
  • Establish, maintain, and feed positive relationships with all supply chain partners
  • Establish, negotiate, and maintain sourcing agreements
  • Hands-on quoting, procurement and expediting
  • Hands-on problem-solving with product quality and delivery
  • Active management of contract manufacturers, including kitting for builds
  • Hands-on management of inventory, shipping, and receiving of materials
  • Work with legal and engineering teams to develop and negotiate agreements with suppliers, including confidentiality and supply and co-development agreements
  • Familiarity with Capex tracking, including PO management, budget adherence, spend forecasting, variance management, and clear financial visibility for leadership
  • Product costing and volume forecasting
  • Occasional travel to supply chain partners

Qualifications

  • Approximately 5-7 years of electronics supply chain & experience with Engineering Change Management Processes (ECN, ECO, etc.)
  • Bachelor’s degree with an engineering or manufacturing preference
  • Knowledge/experience with commonly used MRP and PLM Systems
  • Ability to plan and work on multiple projects concurrently
  • Ability to work collaboratively with development engineers, NPI engineers & product managers
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Hard working, motivated, self-starter and finisher, great attention to detail
  • Ability to lead or follow, as required by the project/situation
  • Strong problem-solving mindset, proactive thinker
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
  • Familiarity with component certifications
  • Familiarity with NDA, MSA, and SOW documents and processes
