Position Summary

The Platform Systems Administrator is responsible for the administration, maintenance, and optimization of ERMCO’s core infrastructure platforms, including Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Azure, and Nutanix. This position ensures high availability, security, and performance across enterprise systems while driving automation, operational consistency, and scalability. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong technical depth, cross-platform integration skills, and a proactive approach to system reliability and modernization.

 

This position is located in Dyersburg, TN or Athens, GA. Relocation Assistance is provided.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Administer and support Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, Intune, and associated security and compliance features.
  • Manage and maintain Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and hybrid identity solutions integrated with Azure Entra ID.
  • Operate and optimize Azure resources, including virtual machines, networking, storage, and governance configurations to support secure cloud operations.
  • Administer Nutanix hyperconverged infrastructure, ensuring cluster performance, capacity planning, replication health, and lifecycle management.
  • Leverage NinjaOne for proactive endpoint monitoring, patch management, scripting, and asset reporting, reducing downtime and improving operational visibility.
  • Support privileged access management via Delinea (formerly Thycotic), implementing least-privilege access, credential vaulting, and policy-based controls.
  • Monitor and analyze system performance metrics, implementing proactive measures to improve reliability and user experience.
  • Collaborate with network, security, and application teams to ensure seamless integration, compliance alignment, and system interoperability.
  • Participate in ITIL-based processes for incident, problem, and change management, contributing to continual service improvement.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, including configurations, standard operating procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Support disaster recovery planning and testing, ensuring resilience and rapid restoration of platform services.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Proven experience administering Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and Azure environments in enterprise settings.
  • Hands-on experience with Nutanix infrastructure, including Prism Central, replication, and performance tuning.
  • Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, routing, VLANs, and firewall concepts.
  • Familiarity with ITIL framework and enterprise service management principles.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem‑resolution skills.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and collaboration abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

Certifications:

  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ‑104) or Microsoft 365 Administrator (MS‑102)
  • Nutanix Certified Professional (NCP)
  • ITIL v4 Foundation Certification
  • Delinea PAM Administrator or CompTIA Security+

Additional Preferred Experience:

  • Experience with NinjaOne endpoint management, automation scripting (PowerShell, Python), and patch deployment strategies.
  • Familiarity with HYCU backup and recovery systems and Azure Site Recovery (ASR).
  • Knowledge of Zero Trust principles, identity governance, and role‑based access control (RBAC) in hybrid environments.
  • Background supporting multi‑site or distributed enterprise infrastructures.
