Who Are You

The Quality Process Engineer is an essential member of our site-specific quality team, supporting the Quality Manager in the implementation and maintenance of quality management systems. This role ensures the integrity of manufacturing processes and products by analyzing quality performance and participating in continuous improvement initiatives. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with internal and external quality standards and regulations.

 

The Quality Process Engineer will collaborate with various departments to identify opportunities for quality enhancement, streamline processes, and drive initiatives that contribute to achieving excellence in product quality and customer satisfaction. This position plays a crucial role in fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement across the organization.

 

This role will be onsite in Greeneville, TN. Relocation Assistance is available. 

Responsibilities

 

What You Will Do

  • Assist in the development and implementation of robust quality management systems and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct in-depth analyses of manufacturing processes to identify potential quality issues and recommend effective improvements.
  • Participate in the Non-Conforming Material (NCM) process, including thorough investigation, documentation, and resolution of quality issues.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by applying Lean, Six Sigma, and other quality improvement methodologies.
  • Facilitate root cause analysis and corrective action processes to effectively address product or process non-conformities.
  • Collaborate with production and engineering teams to seamlessly integrate quality control measures into manufacturing processes.
  • Conduct supplier quality audits and evaluations to ensure adherence to established quality standards and specifications.
  • Assist in the preparation and execution of internal and external quality audits, including ISO compliance assessments.
  • Monitor and report on quality metrics, trends, and performance to the Quality Manager and other key stakeholders.
  • Stay updated on the latest trends, tools, and technologies in quality assurance to drive innovation in quality management practices.
  • Perform electrical and mechanical testing, analyzing test data to ensure designs meet functional and performance specifications.
  • Coordinate the evaluation and testing of new products, components, and processes.
  • Additional duties may be assigned as needed.

Qualifications

 

What You Will Need

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Assurance, Industrial Management, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 1-3 years of experience in quality engineering or quality assurance within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven experience with quality improvement tools and methodologies, including Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 and other relevant quality management systems.
  • Skilled in conducting quality audits and supplier evaluations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.
  • Proactive and self-motivated, demonstrating a strong desire to drive quality improvements.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills, capable of managing multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and openness to adopting new techniques and methodologies in quality management.
  • Demonstrated dedication to maintaining high quality standards and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Experience with quality-related FMEA processes is a plus.
