Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and accomplished Electrical Test Engineer for ERMCO’s Athens, GA plant who is responsible for supporting the development, setup, and execution of electrical test capabilities for distribution, network, and dry‑type transformers. This role plays a key part in helping stand up testing processes, equipment, documentation, and workflows in a new facility, ensuring they meet ERMCO standards for safety, quality, and performance.
This engineer will perform hands‑on testing, troubleshoot issues, collaborate with design and manufacturing teams, and support the implementation of new test systems that align with Athens’ production ramp‑up and long‑term operational goals.
The Electrical Engineer is a high-level role responsible for the design, development and optimization of transformer testing equipment for distribution transformers (1 phase and 3 phase pole and pad mount transformers, dry type transformers). As an experienced engineer, this role involves providing technical ownership on complex projects, mentoring less experienced engineers and technicians and solving advanced engineering challenges. This role includes collaboration with cross-functional teams, driving innovation, and ensuring that all designs meet the highest standards of performance, efficiency, and regulatory compliance.
