Summary

The Strategic Account Manager is responsible for managing and growing relationships with key strategic customers. This role serves as the primary point of contact, developing a deep understanding of customer needs and business objectives to deliver tailored solutions that drive mutual growth and long-term partnerships. The position requires strong collaboration across internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction and the successful execution of business plans.

 

This role can be remote in the following states: FL, GA, IL, KS, NC, NE, SD, TN, TX, WI, WY

 

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with assigned strategic accounts to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Identify and pursue growth opportunities within strategic accounts to maximize revenue and profitability.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams including Sales, Marketing, Product Development, and Operations to deliver customer-centric solutions.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to customers by understanding their business challenges and aligning ERMCO’s offerings accordingly.
  • Prepare and present regular business reviews, forecasts, and account plans to both customers and internal leadership.
  • Negotiate contracts and pricing in alignment with company guidelines and customer expectations.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to inform strategic account management plans.
  • Ensure timely resolution of customer issues and escalations to maintain positive relationships.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in strategic account management, sales, or business development.
  • Proven success managing complex customer relationships and driving revenue growth.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze data and develop actionable account strategies.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in industrial manufacturing, electrical equipment, or related industries.
  • Advanced degree or relevant certifications in sales or account management.
  • Proficiency with CRM and sales analytics tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally in a team-oriented environment.

Physical Requirements:

  • Primarily office-based with regular use of computer and phone.
  • Travel required to customer sites and industry events (up to 30%).
  • Ability to sit, stand, and travel as needed during the workday.
