Job Summary:

The Director, Corporate Strategy & Analytics will serve as a critical strategic and analytical leader in shaping the company’s growth trajectory and long-term value creation plan.

Reporting to the Chief Transformation Officer, this role will lead enterprise-level strategy development, market and financial analytics, and M&A strategy and execution. The [Senior] Director will combine strategic insight with rigorous quantitative analysis to guide the company’s most important decisions — from strategic direction and investment priorities to acquisition opportunities and long-term financial planning.

 

This is a high-visibility, high-impact role suited for a strategic thinker who brings both structured problem-solving and strong financial acumen. The ideal candidate has experience in corporate strategy, M&A, or investment analysis within an industrial manufacturing, energy, or electrical infrastructure-related setting. This role can be remote in the following states: FL, GA, IL, KS, NC, NE, SD, TN, TX, WI, WY

Responsibilities

Corporate & Business Strategy

  • Partner with the CTO and executive leadership team to define the company’s long-term strategy, financial goals, and growth roadmap.
  • Lead strategic projects that assess market trends, competitive positioning, and investment opportunities across business units.
  • Evaluate company performance and recommend strategies to improve capital allocation, product/market focus, and find value creation opportunities.
  • Translate enterprise strategy into actionable business and financial objectives.

 

Market & Business Analytics

  • Lead ongoing analysis of industry trends, customer segments, and end-market dynamics to inform strategic decisions.
  • Develop and maintain financial and operational models to forecast growth, profitability, and enterprise value creation.
  • Establish an analytical foundation for decision-making — integrating internal performance data with external market intelligence.
  • Prepare executive-level materials summarizing strategic insights and implications for leadership and the board.

Mergers & Acquisitions

  • Lead the development of the company’s M&A pipeline, working with the CTO, CFO, and business unit leaders to identify and evaluate strategic targets.
  • Oversee business case development, financial modeling, and valuation analysis for acquisition opportunities.
  • Lead or support cross-functional diligence efforts, integrating insights from technical, commercial, and financial teams.
  • Develop integration hypotheses and post-close value realization frameworks.

Transformation & Leadership

  • Support the CTO in coordinating strategic alignment across the company’s transformation programs.
  • Partner with Finance, Commercial, and Operations leaders to link strategic plans with financial outcomes and KPIs.
  • Manage a small team of analysts and project leads responsible for research, modeling, and project support.
  • Build strong relationships across the enterprise to influence strategic thinking and analytical rigor at all levels.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or related field required; MBA or advanced degree strongly preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in corporate strategy, M&A, investment banking, management consulting, or financial planning & analysis, ideally within industrial manufacturing, energy, or infrastructure sectors.
  • Proven experience leading strategic planning, financial modeling, and due diligence processes.
  • Strong understanding of valuation methodologies, capital structure, and financial forecasting.
  • Demonstrated success in synthesizing complex information into clear recommendations for executive audiences.
