ERMCO is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accountant to support key financial operations, including fixed asset tracking, monthly close, and internal reporting. This role is ideal for a professional who thrives in a collaborative environment and is looking to build or advance a strong accounting foundation in a dynamic manufacturing setting. The Accountant will work cross-functionally and contribute to the company's financial accuracy, process improvements, and business growth. 

Responsibilities:   

• Support the month-end close process, including preparation of journal entries, accruals, and financial reports
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate/resolve variances
• Review and code vendor invoices and employee expense reports
• Assist with the development of budgets and financial forecast
• Collaborate with operations, procurement, and finance teams to achieve financial objectives
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and support special projects as assigned 

Minimum Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s degree in business, Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred 
• 2+ years of experience in collections, accounts receivable, or credit analysis 
• Working knowledge of GAAP and internal control principles 
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with ERP/accounting systems 
• High attention to detail and strong organizational and analytical skills 
• Ability to communicate effectively and work independently or within a team environment 

Preferred Qualifications: 

• CPA certification or active pursuit of CPA licensure
• Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment 

Physical Requirements: 

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer 
• Occasional lifting of files or paperwork
