Job Summary

The Maintenance Technician will use their skillset in the installation, preventive maintenance, and repair of ALL ERMCO manufacturing equipment while considering the values and goals of ERMCO. 

 

 

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine preventative maintenance on production and facility equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical systems (motors, bearings, belts, chains, gearboxes, pneumatics).
  • Conduct electrical troubleshooting and basic installation on circuits up to 480V, including motors, sensors, and control panels.
  • Assist with PLC troubleshooting (fault diagnosis, I/O verification, resetting programs) — programming knowledge a plus but not required.
  • Diagnose and correct issues related to VFDs, relays, and safety circuits. 
  • Respond to equipment breakdowns promptly to minimize downtime. 
  • Document maintenance work performed in logs or CMMS.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas.
  • Work scheduled weekends or call-in shifts with a minimum 24-hour advance notice when production required

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent (technical/vocational training preferred).
  • 2+ years of industrial maintenance experience (manufacturing environment preferred).
  • Mechanical repair and electrical troubleshooting skills required.
  • Experience working safely with 120V–480V circuits.
  • Familiarity with PLC troubleshooting (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar).
  • Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and equipment manuals.
  • Comfortable using multimeters, hand tools, and diagnostic equipment.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in industrial environments.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and flexibility for weekend work when required.
