As an Environmental, Safety, & Health Engineer, you will be responsible for planning, developing, and coordinating programs that result in EHS regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the EHS Manager with the development and compliance of EHS programs
  • Accountable for compliance with all applicable regulatory and ERMCO EHS and related policies and
    procedures.
  • Accountable for Emergency Response functions, roles, and responsibilities in accordance with site
    emergency response plan.
  • Supports management/supervision to ensure all site associates understand and comply with all
    applicable regulatory, plant and corporate EHS and related policies and procedures.
  • Ensures that all EHS reporting is completed timely and accurately.
  • Ensures that programs exist and are followed for all necessary employee monitoring and testing
    requirements are performed appropriately.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining safety systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Inspects facilities, machinery, equipment, and personnel practices to identify potential safety and health
    concerns and hazards.
  • Conducts accident investigation and provides recommendations to prevent re occurrence.
  • Trains employees and management in safe practices and EHS procedures.
  • Ensures that EHS standards are met by all on site contract services.
  • Assist in compliance with SPCC, SWPPP, waste-water compliance, ISO, etc.
  • Assist with risk management inspections and compliance opportunities.
  • Confers with vendors to determine product specifications and arrange for purchase of equipment,
    materials, or parts and evaluates products according to specifications and quality standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in occupational health & safety or similar degree from a four-year college or university
  • 1-2 years related experience and/or training (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • Five years of EHS experience at the manufacturing level preferred.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Self-motivated and self-directed.
  • Strong organizational skills required.
  • Microsoft word, excel, outlook, and power point skills.
