Position Overview

The AR/AP Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions. This role ensures timely and accurate processing of customer invoices, vendor payments, and reconciliations, while maintaining strong internal controls and compliance with company policies. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and experienced in managing a team in a fast-paced environment

Accounts Receivable (AR):

  • Manage customer invoicing, collections, and cash application processes.
  • Monitor aging reports and follow up on overdue accounts.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Customer Service to resolve billing disputes.
  • Ensure accurate revenue recognition and reporting.

Accounts Payable (AP):

  • Oversee vendor invoice processing, payment runs, and expense reimbursements.
  • Maintain vendor relationships and resolve payment issues.
  • Ensure compliance with company purchasing policies and approval workflows.
  • Manage 1099 reporting and year-end AP close procedures.
  • Lead the standardization of AP processes during and after the ERP conversion to Infor LN

Leadership & Process Improvement:

  • Lead and develop a team of AR/AP specialists across all manufacturing locations.
  • Implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy.
  • Maintain and improve internal controls and audit readiness.
  • Support month-end and year-end close activities.
  • Provide and support training and performance management for site-level clerks

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in AR/AP, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and financial controls.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (Infor LN) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • High-volume AP and AR environment experience

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in centralizing decentralized AP and AR operations.
  • Familiarity with automated AP/AR tools and workflows.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Additional Information

  • This role is based at our company headquarters in Dyersburg, TN.
  • Occasional travel to other manufacturing sites may be required.
