The Supervisor, Production at Power Partners LLC, an ERMCO company, plays a key role in supporting daily and weekly production goals, while also contributing to the recruitment and training of new production team members to meet growing market demand

Responsibilities

  • Develop high performance work teams that monitor their own performance for safety, quality, delivery & cost.
  • Assist in production related activities, for assigned personnel and departments to successfully meet assigned goals by tracking and managing assigned Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Regularly communicate operating plans, targets, KPIs and expectations to the assigned production workforce.
  • Ensure proper procedures and problem-solving techniques are utilized in daily production activities.
  • Regularly analyze data and identify trends to drive improvement.
  • Work collaboratively with the manager of the winding department, training and quality assurance departments to constantly reinforce training applications and ensure all training is completed and effective.
  • Monitor manpower levels for assigned shift as needed and support the hiring process.
  • Identify, document, and manage discipline issues in a timely manner.
  • Assist in the creation and implementation of on-going improvement of systems for planning and people development.
  • Ensure consistent quality and environmental standards are applied and met across all shifts.
  • Uphold and interpret quality philosophy to all production personnel while driving 5S.
  • Work with Process and Design engineers as a part of continuous improvement process.
  • Training and mentoring of my direct reports (Team lead and hourly).
  • Supporting other departments in the achievement of daily/weekly targets.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Bachelor of Science, minimum of 4 years military service, or specialized manufacturing credential is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5-8 years demonstrated experience in production of coils preferred, or equivalent time in a manufacturing environment.
  • 2 years’ production leadership experience preferred
  • Models PPIs vision and values and keep them at the forefront of all business activities.
  • Proven track record of successful action-based leadership.
  • Demonstrated capability to drive accountability and consistency in a fair, consistent, and respectful manner.
  • Utilizes problem-solving methodologies & the ability to blend logical, analytical, & creative thinking styles.
  • Proactively seeks, shares, and applies new concepts to continuously improve self and others.
  • Works effectively with others on an individual and team basis in pursuit of organizational goals.
  • Plans and supports the development of individual skills to maximize individual and organizational growth.
  • Excellent facilitation skills applied regularly.
  • Skilled using computer applications, including MS Office.
  • Strong background in manufacturing concepts - Lean, Kaizen, 5S, and Six Sigma, among others.
