Overview

The Enterprise Engineering Services Lead is responsible for development, operating and maintaining all the Enterprise Engineering & Development Tools and Environments that support product quoting, product design, Manufacturing support, and product configuration across all the ERMCO manufacturing sites with Engineering presence. This role is both technical and highly skilled in team and cross functional leadership, adept in creative problem solving and critical thinking at all levels. This role involves frequent collaboration with internal customers across the enterprise both inside and outside the Engineering Teams.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:


• As the Enterprise Engineering Services Lead, you will support engineering, product development and quoting requests across all manufacturing sites in a coherent and consistent way to enable our Transformer and Component business to perform efficiently and support future growth.
• Continuously work and collaborate with our Engineering Leaders (1phase, 3Phase, Pioneer, DTT, Etc) to understand their development environment and tool challenges, addressing the most business critical as a priority.
• Lead & collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales and manufacturing, to understand and improve the effectiveness of our Engineering Services to these important internal customers.
• Collaborate with our internal ERP developers to effectively integrate our Engineering Tool outputs into the ERP system where efficient and/or required.
• Negotiate cost effective and fair license and support agreements with our key technology partners. Having a keen understanding of Engineering Service Agreements and Technical Contracts are both critical in this role.
• Mentor and develop the Enterprise Engineering Services team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning, innovation, adopting best practices and striving for Excellence in all we carry-out.
• Carry out team management responsibilities in accordance with ERMCO policies and applicable laws. This includes interviewing, hiring, training, planning, assigning and directing work, appraising performance, coaching, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints and resolving issues and incidents.

Qualifications

Qualifications:


• Professional undergraduate or graduate degree in a technical/engineering field with proven leadership experience and skills in a technical environment.
• 10+ years of experience in supporting product development tools, specifically developing in-house tools for optimizing and configuring product structures that feed ERP platforms that support quoting, procurement and manufacturing of Transformer & Component products
• Experience & understanding of automation and analysis tools, such as Excel VBA, Python, Perl, JavaScript, SQL-script as it applies to internal tool development and ERP use and administration.
• Strong desire to learn and develop technical skills in transformer or transformer component design.
• Effective leadership, communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Thoughtful and organized leader with the ability actively analyze and problem solve, managing all assigned tasks and meet internal customer timelines.
• Adaptable and resilient, able to navigate complex challenges and drive improvement and change.
• Highly organized, responsive, detail oriented with a focus on Finishing and Delivering.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, working across all levels of the organization.
• Strong project management skills, achieving team commitment and timely deliverables.
• Proven track record of implementing and managing process improvements and technological advancements related to Engineering Services.
