ERMCO is looking for a Machine Operator in our Amorphous Core Annealing department. We are hiring for all three shifts. 

 

Amorphous core annealing including loading and unloading racks, cycle preparation, starting and monitoring cycles, and general material handling.

 

Responsibilities

Essential Functions include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

 

  • Operate furnace to anneal AM cores.
  • Record furnace data
  • Monitor furnace temperature, atmosphere, and DC bus status.
  • Load cores onto racks Finish
  • Load/unload racks from furnace loader
  • Place thermocouples in cores
  • Clean bus bar ends
  • Assemble bus bar in load.
  • Operate furnace loader.
  • Assist with moving pallets of plates.
  • Maintain consistent product placement and integrity.
  • Maintain accuracy and productivity levels.
  • Assist with forming.

  • Education and/or Experience: High School/GED or equivalent. At least 1 year of experience.
  • Computer skills: must have basic computer skills.
  • Communication skills: both verbal and written a must.
  • Mathematical Skills: Ability to work with basic mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and
  • Excel skills: preferred
  • Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Forklift Operation. Training and certification available

 

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must regularly lift 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 70 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

 

Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes, or airborne particles, outside weather conditions, extreme heat, and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
