What You’ll Do:

As a Maintenance Technician, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our building and production equipment. You’ll use your expertise in electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems to troubleshoot and repair machinery, helping keep ERMCO running at full power.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on a wide range of manufacturing equipment and facility systems

  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems

  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and maintenance manuals

  • Operate and maintain maintenance equipment including welders, mills, shears, lathes, and hand tools

  • Use precision measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers

  • Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently

  • Collaborate with team members to resolve issues quickly and reduce downtime

  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and ensure adherence to safety and operational protocols

  • Adapt to changing priorities and evolving production needs

Qualifications

What You’ll Bring:

Education & Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED required

  • 4–8 years of experience in equipment/building maintenance—or a combination of relevant training and experience

Must-Have Knowledge:

  • Strong understanding of manufacturing systems and mechanical/electrical equipment

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents

  • Working knowledge of maintenance across multiple systems: electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, pneumatic

  • High mechanical aptitude and safety awareness

Technical Skills:

  • Skilled in the use of maintenance tools and equipment

  • Strong electrical troubleshooting abilities (a must)

  • Proficient with welding and machine tools (mill, press, shear, lathe, drills, etc.)

  • Comfortable using precision measuring instruments

  • Certified or experienced forklift operator (preferred)

Physical Requirements:

  • Regularly required to talk, hear, stand, walk, sit, use hands and reach

  • Occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl

  • Ability to lift/move 10–25 lbs frequently, and up to 50 lbs occasionally

  • Must have strong vision capabilities: close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment

Work Environment:

  • Exposure to moving mechanical parts and loud noise levels

  • Occasional exposure to wet or humid conditions, airborne particles, outdoor elements, extreme heat, and risk of electrical shock
