ERMCO (Electric Research and Manufacturing Cooperative, Inc.), headquartered in Dyersburg, Tennessee, is a wholly owned subsidiary of Arkansas Electric Cooperatives, Inc. (AECI), based in Little Rock, Arkansas. As one of the largest manufacturers of oil-filled distribution transformers and transformer components in North America, ERMCO plays a critical role in supporting the nation’s electrical infrastructure.
We are currently seeking a Finance/Accounting Intern to join our team from May to August 2025. This internship offers a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience within our Finance department, with a primary focus on supporting our Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions.
This internship will be based on-site in Dyersburg, TN.
Interns will be fully integrated into the finance team and will contribute to real business projects aligned with ERMCO’s strategic objectives. Key responsibilities may include:
Assisting with invoice processing and payment reconciliation
Supporting customer billing and collections processes
Participating in monthly financial reporting tasks
Analyzing financial data and identifying trends
Assisting with audits and internal controls documentation
Collaborating cross-functionally with other departments
This is a hands-on learning experience designed to give you meaningful exposure to the day-to-day operations of a corporate finance environment.
The ideal candidate will meet the following criteria:
Currently enrolled in a college or university, pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Completion of at least sophomore-level coursework by May 2025
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas, data analysis)
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and organization
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
