Overview

The Manager, Enterprise Communications, is responsible for overseeing the execution of internal and external communication strategies to support the company’s brand, culture, and business objectives. This role provides direct supervision to a team of communication professionals, ensuring consistency, clarity, and alignment of messaging across various channels. The Manager of Enterprise Communications works closely with senior leaders and cross-functional teams to drive engagement and enhance corporate reputation.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and Supervise: Directly manage a team of communication specialists, providing guidance, coaching, and professional development opportunities.
  • Strategic Communications: Create and complete comprehensive communication strategies (internally and as-needed externally) and deliverables that align with our company goals, brand identity, and broader enterprise communication strategy.
  • Content Development: Oversee the creation of high-quality communication materials, including executive messages, internal/external announcements press releases, newsletters, presentations, social media content, and more.
  • Internal Communications: Ensure employees receive clear and consistent messaging regarding company updates, policies, and initiatives through effective communication channels.
  • Media Relations: In collaboration with cross-functional business partners, support media outreach efforts, including drafting press materials, coordinating interviews, and monitoring media coverage.
  • Crisis Communication: Assist in the development and execution of crisis communication plans to protect and enhance the company’s reputation.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work cross-functionally to gather information and produce accurate, timely internal and external communications, and support multiple social media profiles, ensuring consistent messaging and engagement with our audience across all businesses in the enterprise.
  • Monitor media coverage and industry trends to inform and adjust communication strategies and practices.
  • Measurement & Reporting: Track and analyze communication effectiveness, providing recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Corporate Events & Branding: Provide communications planning and support for local engagements, charitable events, and corporate social responsibility programs, showcasing our commitment to the community.
  • Ensure all communication materials comply with industry regulations and standards (AP style).
  • Act as a spokesperson for the company when required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field, OR the equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • More than 5 years of experience in corporate communications, public relations, or a related function.
  • Experience managing communication professionals and working cross-functionally with leadership teams.
  • Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills with attention to brand voice and tone.
  • Proficiency in communication tools such as email platforms, social media, and content management systems.
  • Ability to navigate crisis communication and handle sensitive company information with discretion.
  • Previous success in planning and executing high-impact communication strategies and events.
  • Ability to translate complex technical information into clear, engaging content.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Creative thinker with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud a plus
  • A general grasp of design principles, including layout, color, and typography, with the ability to create visually appealing materials using flyer creation tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Express, or similar).

 

Physical Demands/Work Environment:

  • Standard office environment with occasional travel for company meetings, events, or media engagements.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
