Overview

The Senior Manager, Talent Acquisition serves as a strategic and operational leader, overseeing our Talent Acquisition organization to include both the production and professional recruiting teams.

 

This role focuses on driving innovative talent acquisition strategies, fostering a high-performing team, and ensuring the organization attracts and hires top talent to meet current and future business needs. Partnering closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams, the

Senior Manager ensures alignment between recruiting efforts and organizational goals, building ERMCO’s reputation as an employer of choice.

Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership
• Develop and implement comprehensive talent acquisition strategies for production and professional roles, aligned with ERMCO’s business objectives and growth plans.
• Analyze market trends, workforce data, and recruitment metrics to inform hiring strategies and improve processes.
• Build and maintain relationships with senior leaders to understand workforce needs and proactively address talent gaps.

 

Team Management
• Lead, mentor, and develop the production and professional recruiting teams to achieve high levels of performance and engagement.
• Establish clear performance metrics and goals for the team, providing regular feedback and development opportunities.
• Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the recruiting teams.

 

Operational Excellence
• Oversee full-cycle recruiting processes to ensure an exceptional candidate experience and efficient hiring timelines.
• Partner with hiring managers to identify key role requirements, develop job descriptions, and create robust hiring plans.
• Drive process improvements and leverage technology, including applicant tracking systems (ATS) and other recruiting tools, to enhance efficiency and scalability.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies related to hiring and employment.
Employer Branding and Candidate Engagement
• Collaborate with marketing and HR teams to enhance ERMCO’s employer brand and promote it across relevant channels.
• Develop and execute candidate engagement strategies to attract top talent, particularly in competitive markets.
• Represent ERMCO at industry events, career fairs, and community outreach initiatives to strengthen talent pipelines.

 

Data-Driven Decision Making
• Monitor, analyze, and report on key recruitment metrics, including time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, and quality of hire.
• Use data insights to identify challenges, optimize processes, and drive strategic initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field
  • A minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in talent acquisition, with at least 7 years in a leadership role
  • Second Language Proficiency: Conversational Spanish or Canadian French
  • Proficiency in iCIMS or similar applicant tracking systems
  • Previous experience recruiting in the manufacturing industry
  • Experience managing recruiting teams for production, professional and executive roles
