We have an opening in our Materials Department for a Receiving Supervisor.  This person would be responsible for the supervision and control of the Receiving Departments at the Dyersburg ERMCO Locations.

Responsibilities

Role Overview

  • Develop, implement & train staff on new warehousing procedures consistent with best practices.
  • Make improvements & train staff on existing receiving & warehousing procedures.
  • Supervise the receiving staff to ensure timecards & time off is properly scheduled.
  • Experience in setting goals, coaching & holding employees accountable across multiple shifts.
  • Experience in Receiving best practices to align the teams on future state.
  • Experience using AS400, Webdocs, & ERP Business System to scan receive & transfer material.
  • Work with Accounting & Purchasing on reconciliation of invoice discrepancies to avoid future reoccurrences.
  • Inventory Transfer Experience, Implement and supervise system controls for storage and movement.
  • Lead a safe and disciplined work environment with the ability to strategize receiving & inventory metrics.
  • Drive 6S & relative performance metrics in the workplace to world class standards.
  • Develop the capability in your direct reports to maximize their contribution.
  • Work with the team to ensure best practices business objectives (KPI’s) are achieved. 
  • Ensure all invoices are entered correctly according to the packing slips the day the product is physically received.
  • Use analytical and problem-solving skills to evaluate the challenges faced by the organization and take action to mitigate risks while developing opportunities. (Random Audits, 24 Hour Dock to Stock Transfers)
  • Aid in scheduled dock appointment times and reject material disposition process.
  • Assist the Receiving Manager and Purchasing Team Receiving - unloading, storage & transfer activities.

Qualifications

The Ideal Candidate 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or a related field preferred; or five years’ experience in a lead capacity in receiving or supply chain; or equivalent combination of education and experience. CPIM is a plus.
  • Supervisory & performance management of staff experience is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail is required.
  • Experience with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement tools is a plus.
  • Possess strong skills in Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills to communicate effectively across the organization.
  • Possess the ability to work productively, efficiently, and effectively with initiative and drive.
