Overview

The IT Project Management Associate will plan, establish, and manage concurrent IT projects, acting as a liaison between the PMO, business, and technical staff. They will provide leadership within the PMO and to project teams, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget while maintaining high quality.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with management to design, implement, evaluate, and manage assigned projects.
  • Communicate project objectives aligned with strategic business goals.
  • Guide and motivate project teams, aligning them to customer needs with clear milestones and objectives.
  • Coordinate business requirements gathering, documentation, and stakeholder approval.
  • Convert requirements into tasks & determine task prioritization for the project and team members.
  • Review project schedules to identify and coordinate necessary resources.
  • Ensure project scope and costs are agreed upon by stakeholders.
  • Drive tasks to completion according to the project schedule and set budget.
  • Perform cost analysis for projects, identifying effective solutions to reduce costs.
  • Manage resource capacity and time tracking.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks through conflict and issue resolution.
  • Manage project change control processes.
  • Provide regular updates to stakeholders on project status, variances, and corrective actions.
  • Drive relevant project communication through various mediums.
  • Report IT project metrics to key stakeholders.
  • Quantify project KPIs, managing work within scope, schedule, cost, and quality constraints.
  • Coordinate project-related RFIs/RFPs with third parties and internal IT procurement teams.
  • Maintain communication with service providers.
  • Review and approve payment requests and change orders.
  • Conduct training related to key initiatives.
  • Mentor Project Management subordinates.
  • Ensure adherence to IT and department policies, processes, and procedures.
  • Participate in sharing best practices within the organization.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to customer service, solving problems quickly and effectively.

Qualifications

  • BA/BS in Business Management, Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience leading IT projects of medium size and/or scope.
  • Preferred: PMI's PMP certification.
  • Experience managing software development projects using SDLC, Waterfall, Iterative, Agile, etc.
  • Experience with ERP systems like SAP, Oracle, Infor, or NetSuite.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing information systems and shop floor systems.
  • Experience with project management software (Atlassian, FreshWorks, SharePoint, MS Office Suite).
  • Ability to influence and motivate teams without direct authority.

  • Self-motivated, creative, and efficient in proposing solutions.
