Overview

The position of Material Planner/Inventory Specialist for Power Partners LLC, an ERMCO Company will ensure effective/efficient flow of materials from order placement through completion of units, which supports Manufacturing and Operations.  This role is accountable for all aspects of the material warehouse and assigned warehouse personnel to include receiving, material management, and storage.  This role interfaced with both internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

    • Manage Material Coordinator Team Lead, Material Coordinators and Warehouse Personnel to ensure the following:
      • Production departments do not see interruptions in material flow to the lines.
      • Regular cycle counts of Raw inventory are performed and reconciled in the ERP system.
      • Coordinate with Operations Material Handler Team Leads to ensure WIP is regularly cycle counted and accurately reconciled in ERP system, in conjunction with the cycle counts being performed in the raw locations.
      • Material storage areas as clearly marked and in good operating condition.
      • Goods are accurately received into inventory and properly located in the warehouse.
      • All required written/electronic records are properly generated and stored.
      • Collaboration with other Material Planners as necessary to support Supply Chain activities.
      • Ensure accurate, complete, and efficient management of inventory and material management.
      • Actively lead Lean Initiatives, 5S, and other value creation levers.

     

    • Responsible for all aspects of receiving and inventory management for Power Partners
    • Monitor daily operations for the flow of materials, and address concerns as necessary with Operations, Master Scheduler, Design, etc. to support production targets
    • Facilitate the timely order and replenishment of materials through ERP or Kanban/Visual System tools
    • Seek approvals from Design Engineering and Quality for any substitution of products that may be necessary. Follows established process for ICN’s
    • Manage past due or expedited orders to support production targets
    • Establish, monitor, and maintain Kanban levels that relate to pull-system requirements for assigned area
    • Analyze workloads and material flow in assigned area to adjust inventory on Kanban levels to support demand
    • Lead efforts to ensure that all visual systems are being maintained with timely and accurate information
    • Coordination and roll out of new or modified components as identified per Production Control Manager
    • Support VRMA/MRR process to ensure timely closure
    • Develop good relations with key PPI suppliers
    • Monitor daily operations of assigned area to ensure all safety guidelines and procedures are compliant
    • Create a positive, proactive, problem solving environment
    • Communicate with strategic sourcing regarding vendor availability, performance, and emerging trends
    • Other responsibilities as needed to support warehouse and material planner responsibilities.

Qualifications

  • Education or Equivalent (any of these may apply):

    • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university or pursuing a four year degree. Preferred degrees include Engineering, Finance, or Supply Chain.
