Overview

The Manager, HRIS and Analytics is responsible for overseeing the Human Resources Information System (HRIS) and leveraging data analytics to support strategic HR decision-making within a manufacturing company specializing in distribution transformers. This role involves managing HR data integrity, developing analytics strategies, and providing actionable insights to improve HR processes and outcomes

Responsibilities

  • Design and execute a comprehensive HR analytics strategy that aligns with the organization's goals, focusing on data-driven decision-making to improve HR processes and outcomes.
  • Oversee the operation, maintenance, and enhancement of HRIS, ensuring accurate data collection, storage, and retrieval processes, as well as the integration of HR systems with other organizational systems.
  • Conduct in-depth analyses of HR data to identify trends, patterns, and insights. Generate regular and ad-hoc reports for senior management, providing actionable intelligence to inform HR strategies and decisions.
  • Establish and enforce data quality standards and governance protocols to ensure the integrity, accuracy, and security of HR data. Develop policies for data privacy and compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Work closely with HR, IT, and other department leaders to understand their data needs and challenges. Facilitate the use of HR analytics to support decision-making across the organization.
  • Identify, evaluate, and recommend HR technology solutions that can enhance analytics capabilities. Stay abreast of technological advancements and trends in HR analytics and HRIS to drive innovation.
  • Develop and deliver training programs for HRIS users, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively utilize the system. Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for HRIS issues.
  • Lead change management initiatives related to HR analytics and HRIS implementations or upgrades. Communicate changes effectively, manage stakeholder expectations, and ensure a smooth transition.
  • Design and maintain HR dashboards and scorecards that visually represent key performance indicators (KPIs), enabling easy access to critical data and insights for HR and business leaders.
  • Plan and manage HR analytics and HRIS projects, including defining scope, setting timelines, allocating resources, and monitoring progress to ensure successful completion.
  • Manage relationships with HRIS vendors and service providers, overseeing implementations, and ensuring vendors meet service level agreements.
  • Leverage HR analytics to support strategic workforce planning efforts, identifying future talent needs, and informing recruitment, development, and retention strategies.
  • Regularly review and assess the effectiveness of HR analytics and HRIS processes, seeking opportunities for continuous improvement and optimization.
  • Foster a collaborative environment by working with cross-functional teams to integrate HR data insights into broader organizational strategies and initiatives.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Directly supervises one employee within the HR department(s).
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s degree OR has equivalent work experience in the Human Resources field. Advanced degrees or certifications in an HR-related field is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years in HR analytics or HRIS management, preferably in a manufacturing environment. 
  • Demonstrated expertise in managing HR IT platforms (e.g. UKG, iCIMS, Kallidus) and system integrations.
  • Strong knowledge of HRIS systems, data analytics tools, and methodologies.
  • Proficiency in data management, analysis, and visualization software.
  • Understanding of HR processes and best practices.
  • Analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to manage complex projects, with excellent organizational and leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication and training abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on data integrity and accuracy.
