This position will coordinate activities associated with inventory control by performing the duties listed below either personally or through other departments and supervisors.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement improvements to existing operational procedures.
Write and maintain accurate procedures for all inventory control processes and functions.
Perform Inventory cycle counts. Identify and implement methods for improvement.
Implement and manage system controls for inventory storage and movement.
Investigate and resolve inventory variances.
Implement standard metrics for inventory accountability, including loss tolerances and improvement targets.
Provide routine management information on inventory performance. Assist buyers in effectively managing stock levels.
Standardize and improve inventory processes at all locations.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or a related field preferred
Minimum of five years’ experience in inventory management or supply chain; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Have a detailed understanding of MRP and inventory control/management systems and ERP.
CPIM certification preferred.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Experience with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement tools is a plus.
Possess strong skills in Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Possess the ability to work productively, efficiently, and effectively with initiative and drive.
Ability to draft reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
