Overview

The Inside Sales Supervisor leads our inside sales team within the distribution transformer industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving sales performance, managing customer relationships, and overseeing the inside sales process. This role demands a leader with a strong sales background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to motivate and guide a team towards achieving sales targets and providing exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the Inside Sales team to achieve sales targets and objectives.
  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies and plans to increase sales volume and customer base.
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
  • Provide coaching and training to inside sales team members to enhance their product knowledge, sales skills, and customer service abilities.
  • Coordinate with the marketing department to ensure alignment of sales strategies with marketing initiatives.
  • Manage customer inquiries, quotes, orders, and complaints, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities.
  • Collaborate with the product development and engineering teams to understand product specifications and applications.
  • Foster strong relationships with key customers and identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.
  • Prepare and present regular sales reports and forecasts to senior management.
    Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • Directly supervises employees within the department(s).
  • Indirectly supervises employees within the department(s).
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
  • Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; coaching, rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in sales, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or
    leadership role, preferably in the distribution transformer industry or a related field.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving sales growth.
  • Experience in managing and coaching sales teams.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and sales performance software.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Highly motivated with a drive to achieve sales targets.
  • Ability to analyze sales data and market trends.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically.
  • Customer-focused with a commitment to delivering high-quality service.
  • Proactive and able to work independently.
