About the Position

As a Transformer Assembler at Power Partners (a division of ERMCO), you will be responsible for assembling high-quality electrical transformers by installing components according to detailed specifications. This hands-on role requires precision, physical stamina, and a strong commitment to safety and quality. You’ll contribute directly to Power Partners’ mission by ensuring each unit meets our rigorous standards and reflects our core values.

Responsibilities

What you will do:

In this role, you will follow detailed written and verbal instructions to install components for various types of transformers. You’ll operate tools and equipment safely and efficiently while assembling units to meet quality standards. The position requires regularly lifting and moving materials weighing over 50 lbs., with or without assistance. You’ll also ensure that all transformer assemblies and decals conform to company specifications and consistently follow all safety policies and procedures to maintain a secure work environment.

Qualifications

Necessary Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma required
  • Understand and follow instructions (spoken and written).
  • Use electronic devices like iPads for communication.
  • Work well with others in a team setting.
  • Stay organized and pay attention to details.
  • Do basic math (add, subtract, multiply, divide in all units).
  • Lift safely using proper techniques.
  • Use hands and arms to handle tools and materials.
  • Measure accurately with tape measures and calipers.
  • Use tools like drills, ratchets, wrenches, pliers, and hammers.
  • Operate lifting equipment like hoists and assist devices.
  • Lift/push up to 75 lbs. and pull up to 60 lbs.
  • Stand and walk often; sometimes sit, bend, reach, or kneel.
  • Have good vision, including depth perception and focus (20/40 or better with or without glasses/contacts).
  • Follow all safety rules and department guidelines.
  • Wear required safety gear, including steel-toed shoes, safety glasses, gloves, and hearing protection.

 

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3 Years of Consistent work history
  • 1 year of manufacturing experience
